As your much-awaited journey with Veena World begins, here’s how your first day will unfold based on your selected tour departure:
Guests Departing from Mumbai (Scheduled Group Departure)
Guests who have opted for the Mumbai to Mumbai tour should report at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Domestic or International Airport, Mumbai, three hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time.
Upon arrival at Chandigarh Airport, your Veena World Tour Manager will meet you and ensure a smooth transition to the hotel or the sightseeing spot, as per the itinerary.
Joining & Leaving (J&L) Guests – From India or Anywhere in the World
If you are joining the tour from any part of India or overseas by making your own arrangements, please ensure you receive complete guidance for a smooth arrival, hotel check-in, or joining at the sightseeing point.
Your Veena World Travel Advisor and Tour Manager will coordinate and guide you accordingly. The Tour Manager will meet you directly at the first destination, as per the itinerary shared with you.
Today we proceed to Chail - famous place of Himachal Pradesh. Upon arrival we visit Chail Palace - known for its architecture, the palace was built as summer retreat by the Maharaja of Patiala during the British Raj, Kali Ka Tibba - temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, located on a hilltop in Chail. It offers beautiful views of the Shivalik mountains and nearby valleys. Then we visit Kufri – winter sports capital of Shimla followed by Indira Bungalow and Himalayan Zoo.
Today we proceed to Solan - hill town known as the "Mushroom City of India" and the "City of Red Gold" because of its mushroom and tomato production. It offers a mix of temples, nature, and old colonial charm. Upon arrival we visit Shoolini Mata Temple - dedicated to Goddess Shoolini, who is also seen as a form of Goddess Durga or Kali. Later we visit Mohan Heritage Park - known for its rich collection of Indian cultural sculptures, temples, and gardens. We then visit Mohan Meakin Brewery - one of India's oldest and most iconic breweries, established in 1855 (Mohan Meakin Brewery will be subject to operation). In the evening, we stroll on the Mall Road and local market.
Today, we proceed to Barog and enjoy a scenic drive through the pine forests. Upon arrival, we visit the Barog Railway Station - one of the most charming stops on the Kalka–Shimla heritage line, Barog Tunnel (Tunnel No. 33) - the longest of the 103 operational tunnels on the route, stretching 1,144 metres. Then we take a walk through the Barog Pine Forest trails, surrounded by nature. Later we visit the Jatoli Shiv Temple - one of the tallest Shiva temples in North India, known for its impressive architecture and spiritual atmosphere.
Mountain weather can change quickly, so carry proper winter wear and basic travel essentials.
Always carry your ID and travel permits for smooth travel in mountain regions.
Some remote travel destinations may not accept digital payments, so carrying cash is always recommended.
